I have a floral garden in the winter that includes primroses. My primroses have been struggling because of slugs. I put in slug pellets to kill the slugs but just slowed down the inevitable. First the leaves died now my flowers.  A few days ago, I uprooted the worst of the primroses. I had been putting slug pellets on flowers and leaves but the slugs were actually underground, eating my primroses’ roots!

Now my violas are blossoming and taking the uprooted primroses’ place. I notices white flowering I did not have before and the gaps are filling up with flowering violas.

Moral of the story
those relationships that zap our energy and stop us experiencing joys are toxic. Letting go of those unproductive, hurting, high maintenance relationships makes room for beautiful things to happen. Let go of negative stuff to make room for the positive.
